Pennsville FD did another nice job. The
weather was overcast and humid however the ride that took us through
some beautiful towns was worth it. We had 18 Members and friends show up
for a perfect day. The only hitch we had is when we had little Stevie
Wonder (Chip) lead the pack. If he could only see those big florescent
dots along the road that told us what way to turn. Things still stayed
the same when our leader Hayden took over. What is it with men? Why
can't they follow directions? |

Rick said to do it this way. |

Just chilling out in the shade. |

Well it's not Roxana
But it will do. |

Doesn't he wish he had
two biker chicks. |

So this is the
reserved table? |

Roxana Chicken Dinner

| It was another beautiful trip to that wonderful Chicken
Dinner that the Ladies and Men of Roxana Fire Department do so well.
This is the best Chicken (Delaware Duck) in the region. People come from
all over each month to enjoy not only the food but the outstanding southern
hospitality. The weather started out OK however you can see the pictures
below that tell the whole story. We stayed inside the Firehouse until
9:30 pm when we started north. Everyone had a good time and plenty of
food. Our heart felt thanks to all the Fire Department members that make
every trip a special experience especially the August dinner. |

Five flags were flown over every State Capital
Building in the USA. Each flag was transported from state to state via
motorcycle and was raised by Firefighters, Police Officers and members
of the armed forces. The flags were presented at a ceremony at Ground
Zero to honor all the men and woman who worked under extreme conditions
on that fatal day of September 11, 2001 |

Red Helmets
Firefighters Memorial Run
October 4, 2003 |
| The ride to the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg
Maryland started off a little damp. We had several riders from Delaware
and Maryland meet at the RT. 50 bridge. We went on to Anne Arundel
County and met up with a larger group of about 400 bikes. With a police
escort we went on to Frederick, Maryland where we joined the main group.
I think their were over 1000 bikes. The group went onto the Fallen
Firefighters Memorial site for a brief ceremony. It was a good feeling
to see not only members of Red Knights but members from other motorcycle
clubs show their respect for the families of our brother
firefighters. |
